Canoeing
Canoeing is a constantly changing sport with so many facets that
there really is something for everyone. At Outside Edge we have
10 years experience in Kayak and Canoe instruction, coaching and
leadership. This enables us to offer a whole range of paddling activities
and courses, designed specifically for all experience and ability
levels.
Whether you're a complete beginner or advanced paddler, we've got
the experience for you. But don't just take our word for it - come
and see foryourself!
Location
Come down and visit us in the West Country and discover some of
Devon's best kept secrets from the cockpit of your kayak - a view
normally reserved for a select few. Alternatively, let us come to
you. We'll help you explore and learn on your local waters, allowing
you to learn new skills and experience new venues, a little closer
to home or how about meeting us at your favourite venue? All our
trips and courses are by arrangement.
Safety
Our activities follow the stringent guidelines of the British Canoe
Union (BCU). Your guide or coach will hold all relevant BCU qualifications.
Our equipment is of the highest standard and subject to rigorous
testing procedures. Rest assured, not only will your activity will
be fun and friendly, it will be appropriate to your experience and
ability; and all under the relaxed and expert guidance of your highly
qualified and experienced leader.
Equipment and clothing
All specialist equipment and clothing is provided and included in
the price. We are happy for you to use your own, provided you inform
us of your intention to use it upon booking and it meets our safety
standards. You will be required to supply your own activity footwear
and we advise that you bring any additional items of your own warm/thermal
clothing.
Transport
Many of our course members and guests prefer to use their own vehicles
to get themselves around. We are happy to provide additional group
transport but this is not included in any of the prices you will
see. Should you require individual or group transport, just let
us know and we'll be happy to make arrangements.
